Locals Vie for $10K in Recipe Contest |

Two local women, Ali Bousquin of Rye, NH, and Tricia Robinson of Portsmouth, NH were selected to compete in the Hood New England Dairy Cook-Off against 28 other contestants for a chance at a $10,000 prize. Five participants were selected from each state, with each person representing their state in one of five categories. Judges for the November 1 event, held at the Ocean Gateway in Portland, ME, included Rachel Forrest, Seacoast Media Group columnist, Chef Steve Corry of Portland, ME's 555 restaurant, Chef and TV personality Rick Tarantino, and Desmond Keefe, culinary program chair from Southern New Hampshire University. Billy Costa, host of TV Diner, acted as MC. Bousquin competed in the dinner/lunch category with a recipe of wild mushroom and roasted garlic ravioli, while Robinson was competing in the soup/chowder category with her recipe for southwestern corn and potato chowder. As of this writing, no results have been posted.
