Chickens Have Their Say

    The film "Chicken Run" will be shown at One Longfellow Square in Portland, Maine on July 12th. The animated features is presented by Rabelais, One Longfellow Square and Maine Food and Drink Ambassadors; it tells the tale of barnyard fowl with grand ambitions. The evening will also include some thematic shorts, a picnic dinner (including fried chicken) prepared by Chef Josh Potocki of 158 Pickett Street Cafe, and Q&A with Chef Potocki. Doors open at 6:00 p.m.; tickets are $20 and can be reserved at One Longfellow Square. For more information, call (207) 774-1044.

Milkshake Madness

    Who doesn't love this frosty ice cream treat? On Sunday, July 19th, Rabelais of Portland, Maine will host a book signing and milk shake demonstration with Adam Reid, author of "Thoroughly Modern Milkshakes."
