At Joshua’s, in Wells, Maine, chef Joshua Mathers and his parents Barbara and Mort have transformed a 1774 colonial home into a charming dining destination. The former keeping room (where food was prepared over an open hearth) now serves as one of the two dining rooms while the original formal dining room serves as the other. A one-time birthing room now houses the small reception area, and additions include the new kitchen and an enclosed porch for year-round porch dining.
